A decision guide for balancing training frequency, travel, recovery and learning continuity.
Protect consistency
A theoretically perfect class is not useful if travel or work makes attendance unpredictable. Include changing time, transport and a small arrival buffer when comparing slots.
Leave room for learning and recovery
Beginners benefit from returning often enough to recall the previous lesson, but extra sessions are not helpful when fatigue degrades attention or movement.
- Choose two realistic backup windows before contacting admissions.
- Ask how missed sessions and schedule changes are handled.
- Avoid placing a demanding lesson immediately after exhausting work.
- Reassess the timetable when work, health or travel changes.
Confirm details in writing
During development, venues and available times can change by programme. Treat the booking form as a request until you receive a written confirmation with the date, time, location and preparation instructions.
