In brief

What you will learn

  • Alignment matters more than squeezing harder.
  • Use a shape your shoulders can own.
  • Measure distance only after the position is repeatable.

Find the position on land

Stack the ribs over the pelvis, lengthen through the crown and raise the arms only as far as the shoulders allow without arching the lower back.

Transfer it to the wall

Push gently and hold the shape before adding a kick or stroke.

  • Keep the head neutral.
  • Avoid shrugging into pain.
  • Repeat at low speed before testing distance.
